The Organization of Women in Entertainment (OOWE) began after Kelly Connelly and Jaye Hunnie thought it would be fun and resourceful to have a gathering with some of the well known women in the Baltimore Hip Hop/Entertainment scene. What started out as a casual get-together is now a budding organization. OOWE enables women in the male dominated entertainment industry to network and support each other.

6 Weeks From Now.....

I'm doing something really BIG, since I've gotten smaller.....aprox. 24 lbs smaller actually. I have always wanted to 'play Mass' in a West Indian Carnival, but I was too self-conscious due to my size/weight. But I have been working extremely hard since January 1st of this year, and I am soooooooooo proud of my new size/weight. I never thought I would be successful at getting my "extra baggage" off, so I want to reward myself by doing something that I was never able to do because of that "extra baggage".

So here it goes...... this is the costume I will be parading down Georgia Avenue (Washington, DC) in, on Saturday June 24th, 2006.

The CityPaper gets pretty gritty.........

Its been a long time coming, BUT........my grind is definitely starting to pay off. One of the city's premiere places for news on up and coming stars seen fit to cover me, my story, my music, and my movement! Tomorrow (Wed. May 3rd) is the Big Day......The Baltimore City Paper is running a full length article on me, so make sure you go out and get a copy. (The story will also be available online at: http://www.citypaper.com/ , as early as midnight........so I'm told!)

Shout out to Jaye Hunnie for writing the article, pitching the story, and making sure it actually got placement. Bret McCabe for facilitating behind the scenes, and keeping me posted on the story's progress. I also have to shout out Jefferson Steele for taking my photos.
