"PUSSY ON THE STAGE".........WTF!!!!

Me and Ms. Stress (pictured below)performed at The Island Cafe in DC this Saturday Night (3/11/06)............here's what went down, well some of it.....a lot of sh*t went down that night! LOL

When I prepare for shows, I try to imagine everything that could possibly go wrong........so that I can be ready for whatever. But I damn sure wasn't prepared to hear: "PUSSY ON THE STAGE" being shouted as I took the stage @ The Island Cafe in DC. What's even more surprising is that this seemed to be 'the norm' for when females took to the stage to perform.....cuz even the females were saying it! In my mind, I'm conflicted cuz I feel disrespected, but I'm also in foreign territory so-to-speak and don't want to rub the crowd wrong. But needless to say the "QUEEN" in me couldn't allow that........ I grabbed the mic and said:

"Heeeeeeeeyyyyyy, there won't be none of that bullshit when I'm up here, I've worked too hard for my respect!!!" and even to my surprise the crowd started cheering! From that point on the crowd fed into my every word and movement. Even to the point that the DJ had to tell them to move back from me, but I let him and the crowd know that I wanted them close to me, cuz I feed off of their energy.....and I came off the stage and got closer to them. This seemed to win them over even more. My set consisted of an acapella 16, 'You Rollin' and 'RAW'....during the entire set there wasn't a dull moment. I love getting love and support in B-More, but thats homebase.......I'm sorta known there, to go to DC and have a crowd of 100+ singing your hooks, after only hearing them 1 time......that feeling is WILD!!!!

B-More had great representation all around, cuz my sis Ms. Stress performed later in the night and absolutely killed it. She started off with a killer freestyle, and hit em with "I used to", the crowd immediately gravitated towards this song and began to sing the hook for her. Stress ended her set with an emotional and heartfelt 16 that I believe made the crowd dig her even more! I know Rio, Dez, and Sean Toure were very pleased with both of our performances that night!

I don't know about Stress, but more than anything else..........I had fun performing again, and I really needed that!!! Not to mention, I made a good amount of money that night. Big shout out to Nakkia (a.k.a. Misundastood) for having me and Stress perform at your B-Day Extravaganzaa.

Oh yeah, I can't forget the lovely ladies of the DC Rap Divas........your hospitality and support is very much appreciated. Not to mention the fact that yall's set was rockin', we gotta hook up!
